I updated this from a previous article about players complaining about the long days at the WSOP. That sits as a backdrop to the final table that is currently going on for the HORSE event. The final table started over 17 hours ago and it is currently almost 8 am in Vegas. [wsop complaints]
rumor 1: Apparently during the broadcast Phil was overheard saying “2 million”, whether or not that was the bet or the return is anyone’s guess, I think I would side on the return. That said it looks like about double that is more closely the range that Phil won by taking down the bracelet.

The $1,000 event or the stimulus event was available live stream, if you have not watched poker this way you should give it a shot, it gives you a much better representation of how things work at a final table. There was one giant story coming into the final table of the event 2 of the World Series of Poker (the $40,000 event), could Greg Raymer beat this stellar field and initially it looked like he was going to breeze through. Most of the early hands consisted of Greg winning pots.

I can not really say that I am against any of these gals doing a pictorial in bikini’s but for at least Erica Schoenberg it seems a bit redundant considering she can be seen here topless. Tuesday the May 20th brought a durrrr challenge session of just under 700 hands with Patrik edging slightly higher. Here were the eight pots over 100k. The hand count is slightly less than 15,000 and at this rate it appears 50,000 hands is far off in the distance. Couple that with the [durrrr challenge hands]
The 2009 World Series of Poker marks the 40th anniversary of the event. While many things in poker seem to be on the decline the WSOP has maintained it’s cache and in about a week poker players will flock to their rented homes in search of the coveted bracelets.

When the NBC Heads Up championship began I wrote an article about who should not have been included. Vanessa Rousso was on that list. Women historically have a tough time breaking through in poker, some say it is just a shear numbers thing others think it goes deeper. Update May 15th. If you have been following our biggest daily hands and a few articles you have to be wondering if Tom Dwan is on the verge of going busto. The last few weeks have seen multi-million dollar swings for Tom. Tom does seem to have a bad habit of not quitting when he [tom dwan broke]
Firstly let me say that I am a big supporter of the Poker Players Alliance and the work that they have done to get this agenda to this point is nothing short of a miracle. It is often reported that playing online poker is illegal, in fact, when I say that I play online poker [legal online poker]
For poker I think Annie Duke losing was a bad thing but in reality the game (poker) got a lot of exposure. For Annie Duke to be said in the same breath as Joan Rivers really is a high compliment to her and the way she played the game. Ultimately I think that is what [annie duke fired]
Most of which he lost to Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies. He basically lost big at every table he played.
