Recently there has been a lot of publicity about how Annie has taken over the tournament schedule again at UB. Over at pocketfives she was even beginning to post again asking people for their suggestions and such. Well she just could not avoid the influx of posts coming in about the cheating scandals at AP and UB and so she responded. Whether it was sincere or financially prudent she responded.

Which further opened the gates when the latest scandal came out.

Apparently 2 times in the last 6 weeks the same person hit the losing end of a bad beat jackpot. The odds of something like this are astronomical. Things like this do happen though it just seems like it happens a lot more often at UB.

Which of course has Annie Duke getting hailed upon by posters asking for an explanation, yet again.

Let's face it, UB is never going to get the benefit of the doubt in these situations and if you are associated with them in any small way your integrity is going to be questioned. A lot of people are pointing out (and logically so) that this can not possible UB's doing, it has to be that the improbable happen. At the very worst it was another security breach. This of course would be awful as well but is far different from UB cheating their customers.

Even in the last scandal it has almost gotten lost that it was one or two guys that went the rogue route. It was hardly an institutional thing.

Nevertheless, Annie has to be asking herself what on earth could be causing such bad karma.
