I am sick of watching commercials that pretend their products can get guys laid. Just in case it was not obvious to everyone women are not sheep and there is not one particular key to unlock Pandora’s Box… ok, there is, you have to look like this. In lieu of being Brad Pitt, I don’t know many women who don’t like a freshly shaven man. I know, it’s a pain in the ass but some women like to see a man put some effort into his looks. After you’ve been hooking up with a woman for a bit, you’ll find out whether or not she prefers facial hair. Your facial hair will obviously grow back if she’s not into the clean shaven look! Maybe even surprise her with a shave that’s not only on your face!

I got a little help with some of this part but trust me this is good info to know:

1. Shave in the shower- you will need a fog free mirror, I do not have a good suggestion but don’t skimp, this is one of those small details that can make a difference to a girl. In lieu of a shower friendly mirror make sure as you leave the shower to clean up any spots you may have missed. It’s best to take on this task while you’re just coming out of the shower since your skin is still moist and pliable.

1. Use shaving oil- I would suggest using Art of Shaving, neutral scent. The oil lubricates your face so when you take a razor to your face the blade glides easier for a smoother shave. You may want to keep a towel nearby to wipe off the oil once you apply, oily hands can make your shower uncomfortable. I won’t go into too much detail, but shaving oil works well for women too!

1. Shaving Cream- Edge Active Care is a non-lathering shaving cream with a great scent. This is one instance where the commercial actually sort of lives up to the hype. Your skin will come off soft and smooth, and the girl you are with will indeed uncontrollably want to touch your face.

1. Shaving system- You have to remember that women shave too, so it’s hard to ignore a razor that vibrates, therefore, the Gillette Fusion is my recommendation. The difference between the vibrating mode and the regular is dramatic. I don’t know if five razors are better than 2 or 20 but the shave is real smooth. Also, the razor on the back of the head is very useful for tough spots and after shaving clean up.

1. Skin conditioner- Post shave this is a must. When you walk out the door with soft good smelling skin your date is starting to get the picture. Not only does it make your skin smooth but the right one has a good scent and actually is better for you skin than aftershave. The L’Oreal for Men products drive me insane. It’s great for the close ups!

1. Hair care products- While separate from shaving I am addicted to these products and no one knows about them. Hyatt hotels uses these products, I literally have not found a scent I do not like. The Eucalyptus was the scent my guy was using in Aruba. The company is called Portico Spas. When you hit this site plan on spending a little extra. It’s not cheap, but the response you’ll get is well worth it. Trust me.

Remember that at the end of the night there is supposed to be a kiss, use these tips and you are close to there. Ask any girl you know and she will tell you that a good kiss can get the ball rolling. Here is an article that could help with that. Oh, and don’t forget some mints and lip balm. You don’t want to scare your date away with garlic breath and flaky lips!

You are not a masterpiece yet, but it is a good start. Let me put it in terms that you will understand. Its game time gentlemen on and off the felt, and shaving is your pre-game warm-up.
